League Team Coaching


The league team-coaching program is a fast paced, high energy drill session geared towards improving technique and tactics through a variety of defensive and offensive live ball situation drills. The drills are lively and challenging which is result oriented.


Through a coaching lesson construction form which accompanies this program outline teams can also have their coaching sessions specifically designed, to cater to their specific needs based on their past season results or what the goals are for the next season.


Emphasis is placed on enhancing and solidifying strokes and footwork patterns through understanding the implementation of some of the following topics:


  • Defending against strong Net Players
  • Working as a Doubles Team at the Net
  • Defending and Net and Opening the court
  • Creating and understanding the spaces on the court and knowing when and why to explore them
  • Understanding as a pair your strengths & weaknesses and getting your opponent to play to your strengths
  • Controlling No-man’s Land, First volley and Second Volley positions
  • Reading and reacting to the poach and knowing when to use it

Team Levels: 3.0 & above

Student teacher ratio: 4:1

Clinic duration: 1 ½ hrs



Winning Ways -


The more competitive singles player


This clinic is geared towards the more competitive players whose main desire is to focus less on stroke production and more on the rallying skills and progressions that it takes to win singles matches.


Players will work in a low student teacher ratio to ensure maximum attention and consistent results.


The drills for this clinic will simulate actual singles game situations enabling each player to improve court positioning and awareness.

A deeper understanding of shot selection based on the score and effective strategy for competing against various playing styles will be gained.


A few of the main singles topics that will be covered:


  • Defending and attacking from the baseline
  • Point construction from off of the serve and return of serve
  • Building strong rallying skills against various types of opponents
  • Transitioning to the net from off of the serve & volley, short balls in mid-court
  • Changing direction and redirecting the ball from the baseline during rallying situations
  • Understanding opponents point play and patterns so as to better close out matches when needed
  • Shortening the court against your opponent

Ability level: 3.0 and above (players grouped according to skill level)

Student teach ratio: 3:1

Clinic duration: 1 ½ hrs


  • 60 minutes: Drilling of all strokes based on each player’s game style followed by match play simulation drills
  • 30 minutes: Playing points off of the serve & return of serve and point construction (analyzing both first and second serves together with first and second serve returns)

Pro-Team Doubles clinic



Pro-Team tennis is an advanced drill and match play session geared towards successful higher-level doubles play.


The session runs for 1 ½ hrs where the first 45 minutes emphasis is placed on enhancing and solidifying advanced strokes and movements through match play specific drills needed for effective doubles play.


The second 45 minutes the coach takes turns playing with and against each player where emphasis is solely placed on effective doubles play with correction on the key areas.


Some of the topics that will be covered:


  • Developing effective ways of getting to the net against various types of   opponents
  • Moving as a team for both offensive and defensive play
  • Using the Lob effectively
  • Setting up and closing out points from the net
  • Knowing why and when to poach
  • Starting the points from off of the serve and return of serve
  • Knowing when to stay in the rally, set it up and put it away

Fundamental stroke production – perfecting the basics



The fundamentals stroke production clinic is ideal for players (at any level) whose main goal is to solidify and develop variety in their basic strokes.

Beginners learn the fundamentals of effective stroke production and movements while intermediates to advance players work on specialty shots mixed in with more depth and direction, more spin and more variety for advance rallying skills.


The drills are lively and challenging which is result oriented.


Ability level: 1.0 - 2.0

Student teacher ratio: 6:1

Clinic duration: 1hr


Ability level: 2.5

Student teacher ratio: 4:1

Clinic duration: 1 ½ hrs


Ability level: 3.0 & above
